Just when you thought there were already too many in Hollywood, a whole new crop of “Zombies & Assholes” will infect Tinseltown at the premiere screening of the biting new comedy film on Sunday, February 13 at 8pm at Raleigh Studios, Hollywood.Deliciously entertaining, “Zombies & Assholes” is a cautionary tale of what fate belies a group of selfish and obnoxious degenerates who amuse themselves by annoying the staff and patrons of a popular restaurant. But when the suddenly zombified help turn the tables and begin attacking customers, the group must run for their lives. They soon find themselves stuck in a stalled car as the zombies start to close in. Determined to die with clear consciences, they begin confessing their intertwined sexual indiscretions. Tempers flare and teeth are bared when the group turns on one another and the zombies inch closer. Will they survive? And when the world comes to an end, what would you rather be – a zombie or an asshole?
“Zombies & Assholes” is a nineteen-minute short which will soon make its debut on the film festival circuit. It was written by Justin Wade and Samantha Kern, produced by Samantha Kern and directed by Sean LoGrasso. Stephen W. Kern (Sidney/Kern L.L.C.) served as Executive Producer in association with L2 Productions. It was filmed in February 2010 on location in Eden Gardens in Moorpark, CA and at Celebration Theatre in West Hollywood, CA.
The gory satire stars Ben Begley (“Raising Hope”), Amber Bollinger (“Pelt”), Jacqui Holland (“Beverlywood,” “My Best Friend’s Girl,” “Jenny McCarthy’s Totally Sketch”), Erin Marie Hogan (“Paranormal Entity, Femme Fatales”) and Morgan Roberts (“Photographic”) and a host of meat-eating zombies.
